The Scartabello Foundation was founded in November 2008 and was terminated in December 2009.
The Scartabello Foundation aimed to make public government documents easily accessible to the general public.
The main project of the Scartabello Foundation was the enhancement of ikregeer.nl, a website that makes all the public documents of the Dutch parliament (First and Second Chamber) since 1995 easily accessable and searchable through the internet.
The Scartabello Foundation took over the development of ikregeer.nl in December 2008. Between 2008 and 2009 Scartabello developed an API for ikregeer.nl and made major enhancements to both the back and front end of the website. These developments were made possible by a grant from Knowledgeland (project Digital Pioneers, round eParticipation that was initiated by the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK)).
In December 2009 the directors of the foundation decided that the foundation had achieved it’s goals and that they were going to focus on other projects. The foundation was terminated and the the development of ikregeer.nl was handed back to League of Brilliance, the original producers of the website.
The founders and directors of the Scartabello Foundation are also the founders and directors of League of Brilliance.
